Airway obstruction may result from swelling of the face and tongue due to anaphylaxis, or from insect stings 🐝🦗 in or around the mouth. This may occur immediately or over several hours and always requires urgent medical care. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
What is anaphylaxis first aid management

Occasionally we still here that people don't believe in Anaphylaxis 😮😭, 🤔 they just might if it happened to them 😵 🚑 😵

This is an app that just might work well for you or someone you know!
Using out of date auto injectors for anaphylaxis, first aid response
Is this something you have thought about? We definitely did with the reports that there may still be a shortage in delivery around Australia 😬 early 2018. A few research findings said that Epinephrine (the drug in Auto injectors) is likely to still retain approx. 90% even up to one year past the expiry date.
B-Ready First Aid Training about EpiPen use and management. Orange to the thigh and blue to the sky also showing a junior and adult picture of Epipens.
Here are a few reminders about EpiPen use.
B-Ready First Aid info about Anaphylaxis Management Plans
At the beginning of each school year, this is more than likely being reviewed & fine-tuned.
B-Ready First Aid info about Allergies and first aid knowledge. It tells that even Adults can develop allergies. Shell fish was the most common food allergy for adults in America with nuts coming in at second.
One day we might know why, but until then we must stay vigilant with our knowledge and responses.
B-Ready First Aid info about Bee Sting management. For most people a bee sting is just painful & annoying. If the stinger is left in the skin, flick or scrape it away asap, you could use a key or fingernail & apply an ice pack to lessen the pain. If they are experiencing an allergic reaction such as wheezing & breathing difficulties, hives or facial swelling call 000 & administer their EpiPen if available. If they also suffer from asthma administer Ventolin using the 4x4x4 technique.
Flick don't squeeze if the bee leaves the stinger behind.
B-Ready First Aid info about Epipen use & a reminder not to put your finger over the end
Oh WOW! Please take care as if an EpiPen is misused it is useless in an emergency. I have heard of this happening over the years, have you?
B-Ready First Aid info about anaphylaxis in the workplace
Wearing a medical alert is important, that's for sure. It is really difficult to help someone if you're not sure what is happening. Do you know anyone that should but doesn't?

The ASCIA Action Plan for Anaphylaxis is an emergency response plan for severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis). Current ASCIA Action Plans are the 2023 versions. However, prior versions (2022 and 2021) are still valid for use in 2023. Information about what has been updated in the 2023 plans is available at www.allergy.org.au/about-ascia/info-updates/new-2023-versions-of-ascia-action-plans-for-anaphylaxis
ASCIA Action Plans do not expire, and therefore the plan is still valid beyond the recommended review date, which is a guide for patients to see their doctor. For more information about ASCIA Action Plans go to www.allergy.org.au/hp/anaphylaxis/action-plans-for-allergic-reactions-faq
